Symposium Future trends was already organized in 2014 (visit website) and this festive year – 100 year anniversary of the Civil Engineering education in Croatia – is a perfect time to continue the tradition.
It is our great pleasure to invite you to take part in the scientific symposium FUTURE TRENDS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING that is will be held on 17th October 2019 at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Civil Engineering, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Zagreb.
On 16th October this year the Faculty of Civil Engineering - Zagreb celebrates its 100th anniversary and, to mark this significant event, the Faculty is organising a number of activities, one of which is this Symposium.
The lectures to be presented at the Symposium will concern the fields that are a part of the Faculty’s activities: geotechnical engineering, water engineering, structural engineering, construction materials, construction management, transport infrastructures, engineering mechanics, building design and applied mathematics. At this gathering, each field will be represented by one foreign lecturer with international repute and one domestic lecturer. Foreign lecturers come from nine countries (Germany, Czech Republic, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, the Netherlands, South Africa, UK) while domestic lectures originate mainly from the Faculty of Civil Engineering in Zagreb. All lectures presented at the symposium will be fully published in the symposium proceeding.

The symposium will be held on 17th October 2019 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Zagreb (Kačićeva 26) in the very amphitheater in which a lecture was given by Max Planck in the last century.
